Earth Day 2012

Shown above are Mrs. Keltz's and Mrs. Dunkerton's classes (grades 5-8) cleaning up the side yard of the old Post Office that the school uses for a playground.  Additionally, Mrs. Keltz ordered some free Silky Dogwood trees, and these were planted in a side yard of the First Methodist Church where the school is housed as a thank you to the church.

May And June Upcoming Events

Tuesday, May 1: Students in Mrs. Keltz and Mrs. Dunkerton's classes are going to School Street Elementary on May 1 for an author's visit.  Autographed books will be available for purchase.

Wednesday, May 9: Students presenting musical compositions at the ACSI Academic Day will be presenting their pieces at Chapel.

Thursday, May 10: Students in grades 3-8 will be participating in the annual ACSI Academic Day at Houghton college.  Competitions in speech, science fairs, music, and more will be taking place between about 10 Christian schools in the area.  The Houghton bus will leave at 7:15 a.m.  Students should arrive no later than 7:00 a.m. at the school.

Friday, May 11: Some of our younger students will be attending "Henry and Mudge" at Pitt-Bradford on May 11.  Also on that day.  Mrs. Barb Clark will be taking her students to St. Bernard's for an "Ocean Day."

Thursday, May 31: BACA for its year end field trip will be going to Niagara Falls Aquarium.  The bus leaves the school at 7:30 a.m.; students should be at the school no later than 7:15 a.m.

Tuesday, June 5: Kindergarten and 8th grade graduation at 7:00 p.m.

Welcome To Our School

From all of us to all of you thank you for visiting our website.  The Bradford Area Christian Academy (BACA) is a non-denominational Christian school located in downtown Bradford, PA.  We have been serving the local community for 28 years.

During the past several years the Lord has blessed the school abundantly.  During these years enrollment has more than doubled from 28 to over 70, a Middle School program (grades 6-8) has been added, our Before and After Care programs have quadrupled, our technology program has been significantly upgraded including SmartBoards being added to all core classrooms K-8, major investments in new books and resource materials have been achieved, our Children's Scholarship Fund, which provides tuition assistance through the support of local businesses, has increased 500% despite the economic downturn, and we have been blessed in so many other ways.  Praise the Lord, and a big thank you to everyone who helped to make this all possible.

Our dreams for the future are even larger than the ones we have recently completed.  We continue to pray that God will reveal His will for us, and we feel He wants us to continue to grow both in terms of the number of students, but also in the quality of education provided.
